For a Luxurious Honeymoon Try New Zealand

For a Luxurious Honeymoon Try New Zealand

Your wedding day is special and a lot of time is spent in planning it, but what about the honeymoon? You don’t want to neglect that important event either. If you want to go someplace beautiful and luxurious then New Zealand might just be the ticket.

There is The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs which sits on 6,000 beautiful acres and has some of the most spectacular views you could ever wish for. New Zealand also has plenty of natural hot springs thanks to the underwater volcanoes; you can dig a little pool and create your own personal hot spring.

Sail away in a hot air balloon while enjoying your breakfast, a service that is provided by Aoraki Balloon Safaris. And of course there are lots of places to go and do some snorkeling.

One thing you won’t want to miss is the Waitomo Glowworm caves. You can take a boat ride through the caves which are covered in real live glowworms. Some have compared it to a Disney ride. Yes, there is so much to see and do in New Zealand that you will need a vacation to recover from your honeymoon!

Make Your Summer Barbecues a Little Bit Healthier

Make Your Summer Barbecues a Little Bit Healthier

Barbecues are fun and usually have a lot of rich and fatty foods. You can make your barbecue healthier and still have fun with lots of great food.

If you’re going to have a creamy dip, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. If you are a guacamole lover, cut down on the fat from the avocado by mixing in another vegetable. A good add-in would be frozen peas, they keep the guacamole green while adding a little sweetness.

Trick your friends into eating their vegetables. You can replace the chips and dips with beautifully cut crudités. Try seasoning the raw vegetables with lime, salt and chili powder.  They look good, taste good and are perfectly healthy.

Salads are great but the lettuce tends to wilt so try making something like a Greek salad that doesn’t require lettuce and will hold up for the duration of a long barbecue. Also, use less cheese in the salad to cut down on the calories. Put the salad at the front of the serving table as your friends are more likely to put some on their plates. Plus it leaves less room for unhealthy options.
