The iconic record label, Atlantic Records has partnered with Shwood to create a unique sunglasses collection – genuine Atlantic vinyl sunglasses!
For the younger crowd, music used to be played on vinyl records, also known as 45’s, in the days before iTunes and MP3’s. Shwood is well known for their handcrafted wooden eyewear and has designed two lines of their Canby model sunglasses made out of actual Atlantic archives vinyl records.
The sunglasses exterior is made from birch wood and the interior is made of mahogany and comes with their own customized box made of mahogany and a vinyl record slider top. Additional touches include genuine vinyl record inlays at the temples and Carl Zeiss lenses.

Atlantic records was known for signing prominent, legacy R&B artists such as Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Chic, Hall & Oates and Donny Hathaway, but they are still going strong with popular recording artists such as Bruno Mars, Janelle Monae, Jill Scott, Lupe Fiasco, Flo Rida and Meek Mill.
