We all loved the song that incorporated this royal shade, but we all loved it more when Prince would allow it to be draped upon him. If there was one tint that this legend owned better than any other artist it would be purple.

Before Rihanna shined bright like a diamond, Prince was blinding us with his fabulous metallics. From his jewels to his shirts and jackets he went bold. Moreover, he was unafraid to mix and blend. When it came to Prince’s style, gold and silver never clashed.

Prince was the master of androgynous dress. He elegantly wove together looks infused with masculinity yet possessing touches of femininity. The ending result was always a delectable, seductive ensemble.

Prince was not an one-dimensional artist when it came to his music or style adroitness. His music was a perfect pairing with any and all esteemed iconic Prince fashion trends. Donatella Versace, summed it up best stating,

Prince will be greatly missed by one and all. Nevertheless, his artistry and illustrious image will continue to celebrate his legacy that is far too grand to ever forget.
