Okay, so why this color? Regarding the selection Pantone said, “Greenery is the Pantone color of the year 2017 selection. [Its] a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose amid a complex social and political landscape.”

Very refreshing. Nevertheless, what about the fashion world? Are they down with the greenery hue? Yes they are to the one thousandth power! Gucci helped usher in the greenery tint during their spring/summer collection. The tint was fresh and gave off a very modern and contemporary feel.

Moreover, designer Christian Siriano enjoys the use of the vibrant shade. Explaining why he adores it he says, “My love of any green color comes from the idea of bringing the outdoors inside.” Therefore, if you have ever wanted to marry your love of nature with couture here is your chance.

Furthermore, brands are already rolling out the green hue products. Nail polish giant OPI just released to green polish colors. Actress Kerry Washington has some big beauty news today! For 2016 Kerry Washington has been named the Creative Ambassador of the highly successive nail lacquer brand, OPI. This is the first time that the brand has had an ambassador position which makes this beauty move even more momentous.

Kerry Washington has used her fashionable and trendy style before when the Scandal inspired couture line was launched. Also, since 2013 Kerry has been a creative consultant for Neutrogena. Now Washington is bringing her chic influence to the OPI family. For 2016 Kerry will be designing her own nail polish collection incollaboration with OPI Creative Director, Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, which will no doubt fly off the shelves. Therefore, if any ladies out there have hopes of reflecting Olivia Pope into their personal style next year you will get your chance!
