I have some female friends who would rather die than put on a pair flats. It always amazes me the great lengths and pains women will suffer through in the name of fashion. A little trend from the runway is back and with a fury. You may recall several designers engaging in the whole sock and heel trend a few seasons back. Many had mixed feelings about it, some thought it was fabulous others thought leave in the 80’s. However, that hasn’t stopped designers from trying it again with some even taking it a step further.
Chanel engaged the look in their spring and summer 2014 creations then Prada upped the ante by pairing heels with leg warmers. The look can be cool if you have the risk taker vibe down pact. Keep in mind that this style can’t look contrived it has to just truly come through from your personality. If you are fun, free-spirited then most likely you can have fun with this trend and pull it off well. So ladies will any of you be rocking the heels with socks, stockings or leg warmers trend?

A flap bag that caught our eye is the Chanel Red Cube Boy handbag from the S/S 2014 collection. Even though the bag is a bright red that translates well for summer, as the winter months roll in it will still be a great handbag to add a pop a color to otherwise quite drab winter wear colors.
The Beverly Hilton Hotel was set on fire yesterday when sassy Angell Conwell hit the red carpet! Conwell wore a dazzling cobalt blue gown that showed off her super tiny waistline and bounteous decolletage. Angell didn’t over think the look but keep things streamlined by adding a few bracelets, earrings, ring and a clutch handbag.
Aisha Tyler has done it again! First Aisha wore a Basler creation to the Critics Choice Awards and now she went for the double gold by wearing another Basler dress to this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards. Tyler wore a body hugging purple Basler peplum gown that accentuated her curves perfectly. She kept her hair and makeup simple and accessorized her ensemble with gold jewelry.

As usual we had difficulties settling on one look so we chose to narrow it down to two. The first look is a classic red lip (major trend for this season). Erykah just looks too cool for school and demontrates that when applied correctly a strong makeup look does not have to overpower your fashions. Badu’s accessories are already intensely bold yet her makeup simply complements her overall look without exerting dominance.
