We noticed a few trends on the red carpet for this year’s American Music Awards, but one trend stood out and seemed to match the event’s glitzy vibe. The AMAs red carpet at Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles, was raided with shimmery couture looks that were full of Hollywood razzle dazzle. Singer/actresses Zendaya Coleman and Jordin Sparks both showed off daring, sparkling attire as well as extra skin.
Spark’s bronzed gown included a plunging neckline while Zendaya’s over-sized gold ensemble (pants and trench are Georgine Spring 2015) revealed a blue midriff baring top. The looks definitely grabbed the attention of onlookers and the event’s television viewers. What do you think of shimmery couture, is it a “Do” or a “Don’t?
The ageless and forever stunningly gorgeous Garcelle Beauvais shut down the red carpet in a snug red-hot gown accompanied with metallic heels. We also peeped a cool super dark manicure being worn by the stylish actress. Guess it’s time to bring out the goth in the nail department!
Hair Notes: We are fanatics for wavy locks and Beauvais’ shoulder-length tresses looked beautiful. Get the look by fashioning braids on damp hair after shampooing and conditioning. Once completely dry, carefully undo the braids and finger comb to style your wavy look. Add shine by spritzing your strands with a light hair oil.
Nicki Minaj worked the red carpet this past Sunday in a mini dress by designer, Alexander Wang. Nicki was in attendance for this year’s American Music Awards which were held in downtown Los Angeles. During the show Minaj performed her new single Bed of Lies.
What do you think of Nicki’s ensemble, is this a good look for Minaj? Hit us up and let us know your fashion thoughts!
If you want to make a bold statement with your jewelry this season look no further than the Goldbarr Autumn/Winter collection for 2014. Pieces range in price from about $80 dollars to $200. The designer behind the collection was inspired by her travels and her inspiration is clearly evident in her cultural designs. The collection has a vintage feel yet maintains a fresh free-spirited vibe. The fringe detailing and heavy metals scream drama in a very good way. Enjoy skimming through the collection and be sure to share your fashion thoughts with us.
I have never met a sneaker that I didn’t like and with that being said I have been a proud Nike wearer for as long as I can remember. My addiction was so strong, alright everyone altogether, “How strong was it?” My addiction was so strong that my mother had to ban me from buying them because that was the only type of shoe and brand that I wanted to wear out in public…with everything.
Even with my lovely mother’s decree my love for Nike never dimmed and I still wear them, I actually have a pair on right now as I type this (LOL). Therefore, I am constantly checking to see what’s new with the best sneakers on this planet. For winter, Nike has designed another pair for their Roshe Run collection and I think the shoe is sleek and ingenious. For anyone who has ever partook in a winter run maybe even in the rain knows that having the right shoe is everything. The right sneaker will help you endure longer during your workout session and of course perserve your feet. One very cool aspect of this shoe is the weather resistent build that runs along the top of the sneaker. So then, you will be able to fight the elements and look good doing it with this sleek silhouette from Nike.

Well okay then Miss Palmer! Three snaps in a Z formation from the hair down to those boots! Keke attended The Imitation Game premiere last night held in NYC at Ziegfeld Theatre. Palmer wore ICB (International Concept Brand) and took everyone’s breath away. Not many could pull off such a daring look, but Keke did it seamlessly.
When it’s cold layering is essential to keeping warm and being able to easily remove clothing if things get a little too hot for your liking. There is often the common thought if you layer too much of the same item things can tend to look a little funny and not in a good way. However, if done right layering a full outfit with denim or leather on leather (shown) can be cool, chic and very modern.
Happy Thursday ladies we are almost to the weekend! To get over this last mid-week hump let’s talk some fall/winter fashion. So then, what do we like to wear when the temperature is on chill status?
Alicia: Can I get a sweater please? (laughter)
Arianne: Wave them in the air! (laughs)
Alicia: Exactly… I always enjoy wearing a sweater with a cute print or design. I find it takes the guesswork out of putting together an outfit in the mornings. I simply grab one of my sweaters and pair it with jeans, a neutral top as well as ankle boot heels and I’m out the door.
Arianne: I’m addicted to fur, faux of course, I love all animals. Nevertheless, I love fur vests, especially the ones with belts or ties so that my shape doesn’t get lost because I can emphasize a waistline.
