Achieving goals in business is like climbing the highest, most treacherous mountain in the world. You will have to stop and think about where you are going. Most likely you will also make several mistakes. Moreover, once you think you have things going smooth a storm out of nowhere can knock you off track.

As a result, one thing is for sure, some will make it to the top and others will not. It takes drive, ambition and tons of motivation to be a success. Model, designer and reality star Draya Michele knows a thing or two about reaching goals and navigating the pits of entrepreneurship. She recently opened up about past and new challenges. If you are looking to strike it out on your own then the best thing you can do is listen to a fellow peer.

It’s all about motivation. How does Draya feel about working toward achieving goals? She says,

“For years I’ve dabbled into what I thought was the only form of modeling I could do. Years ago, I would send my pictures to men’s magazines and pray they thought I had what it takes. Needless to say, my goals weren’t set very high but they were MY goals.

I didn’t fit into the magazines I wanted to be in. I was skinny and not stereotypically sexy, but I still wanted it. A few editors, photographers and music video directors gave me a shot. It was only temporarily satisfying. I wanted more.

It’s so many years later and I’ve matured and I believe I’ve figured out what makes me special. Besides being ambitious and business savvy, I’m not a traditionally beautiful girl. Most of my compliments come when I’m photographed in a bikini. I’ve been told I have a long neck and bird like features. [However] I haven’t been told these things by anyone who has actually mattered yet.

The people that I want to work with see a different side of me. The side of me that sees my face photographed and the way I feel inside looking at the photos. To a lot of people, I seem to have “made it”… but to myself, I still have goals. Things I want to do that people have been telling me for years that I couldn’t.

These blocked opportunities are one of the driving forces in my life. I couldn’t ask for something so motivating, something that’s earned and not a handout. I’m saying all of this to let you know, no matter what position you are in or level in life, it’s okay to want more. Goals and determination make us real.”

Achieving Goals- In Conclusion

Do you think you can continue moving forward despite hearing the word, “No.” Will you take the initiative to make your own path even if that means coming out your shell? Draya not only found herself, but she put herself out there which in turn helped her locate her true motivation.

When the going gets tough in business you will need to dig deep and tap into the fuel that truly moves you upward as well as onward. For Michele it is blocked opportunities, for you it could be something very different. Nevertheless, if you wish to succeed, always achieving goals then stay consistent and dedicated. Your own conviction, your own goals and your own purpose will get you there every time.

Our love for the Beige and Coco Faux Fur Coat came about for a number of reasons. For one, it is a piece that can instantly be described as “classic.” If you are looking for a way to add a bit of affluence and extravagance to your wardrobe, a fur coat will accomplish that in seconds. For years, fur coats have been associated with opulence and wealthiness. Think old Hollywood and you will instantly get the picture.

Nevertheless, it is usually the price tag associated with fur coats that is enough to make some go never mind. They came, they were beautiful and they conquered. Every year BeautyCon seems to just get better and better. Of course, it’s always a blast to see what’s going on in the world of beauty. However, the celeb spottings and their couture trends are also divine. Therefore, if unfortunately you couldn’t get your beauty on in Los Angeles we got you covered because here is our celebrity BeautyCon LA 2016 fashion recap!

So little time and so many looks to see. Let’s just hop right into it with a little lady who wore her own clothing like a Boss!

Christina Milian

Singer, entertainer and fashion queen. Christina Milian sizzled in a sexy denim dress from her We Are Pop Culture line. We Are Pop Culture had their own booth where attendees could shop and meet Milian.

Christina has always been one to stay close to her fan base. Her booth gave girls the best opportunity to meet and greet. Going back to Christina’s OOTD. No need for heels. Instead Milian showed off her tough kicks game. Who did she wear? Maybe this Jay Z lyric will give you a hint, “Jordan…Game 6.”

Draya Michele had two amazing ensembles so let’s begin with the first one. Draya kicked off her BeautyCon LA 2016 fashion looking mean in green. She wore a skirt and bodysuit by House of CB. Moreover, she accessorized with a Manokhi choker and Ivanka Trump handbag.

Outfit number was just as chic. Draya’s stylish LBD (Little Black Dress) is by YSL. Her matching black heels are by Azzedine Alaia.

Tyra Banks

You wanna be on top? Tyra Banks came to BeautyCon LA 2016 complete with an entire squad! Her squad was actually the entire crew who were present at the BeautyCon LA 2016 brunch. What was discussed? The peeps dished on everything from making the world better to contouring. Hence, normal girl talk these days.

Inbetween smizes we couldn’t keep our eyes off Ty Ty’s fashions. Banks looked relaxed chic in jeans, a white tee and tailored jacket. Moreover, we loved the pop of color she added with her yellow handbag.

Karreuche Tran

We were so happy to spot our favorite pint-sized fashion-nista! Short girls unite! She may be petite, but her style is off the charts.

First of all, can we give all glory to those baby hairs and those abs! Seriously, those bad boys rival the great and mighty Janet Jackson six pack. Karreuche has been putting in work.

Keeping it 100, if we had a body like hers we’d show it off 24/7. That’s exactly what she did. She wore a choker, bandeau top with a printed skirt. Simple, sexy and total head turner.

Kelly Rowland

We were not surprised to see Kelly Rowland at BeautyCon LA 2016. We thought it was fitting especially after her announcement a few months ago regarding a makeup line. As we reported Kelly is developing a cosmetics brand after being influenced by Iman. Kelly plans to keep chocolate girls in mind during the entire design process.

Nevertheless, Kelly looked amazing! She stunned in a frilly, lace ensemble. The color complimented her skin tone beautifully.

Hit The Hay, Get Your Beauty Rest

Scientific studies involving photographic tests have proven that sleep deprived individuals may be found to be less attractive to onlookers. As if not looking your best is not enough of a reason to hit the sheets; what about not feeling your best? Lacking adequate rest can potentially wreak havoc on your body and health from the inside out.

What can result from a lady not getting enough rest? Sleep deprivation has been linked to disease, depression and even weight gain. With the winter months behind us and bikini wonderland right around the corner a few extra pounds is probably not what most of us women want.

So then, how much sleep does the average adult need to look well-rested and function properly? The recommended amount of sleep for adults is 6 to 8 hours a night. Anything less and you’re not letting your body — let alone your skin — fully rejuvenate. Therefore, be sure to get your beauty rest and your skin and health will thank you.

Many find it difficult to fall asleep at night. Here are a few quick tips to help you slumber:

Workout daily. Even 20 minutes of walking can help keep stress hormones from interfering with your sleep.
Don’t binge right before bed. Yes, that fare looks good, but it has the potential to make you restless because an active digestive system can disrupt sleep. Yet don’t go to sleep hungry, either. Instead, have a balanced meal of sleep-promoting foods such as tuna, almonds and eggs to lull you into Snoozeville.
Kanye may want to see all of the lights, but your body doesn’t. Minimize light, noise and temperature extremes; (your bedroom should be kept at about 68 degrees) anything that might disrupt a comfortable environment.
Beds are for sleeping and physical relations only. Sleep specialists recommend not reading, watching TV, working or discussing important issues in bed.
Consume Starbucks and Coffee Bean in the morning hours. Caffeine, nicotine or other stimulants should be avoided within four hours of bedtime. Caffeine effects can take up to eight hours to wear off.
