Designer Carly Cushnie is killing us softly! Giving us a little something of everything… think dresses, pant suits and swimwear. The Cushnie Spring-Summer 2019 Runway Show ushered in a feminine flair; with strong emphasis on silhouette as well as delicate detailing.
There was also plenty of black girl magic to around. Models such as Winnie Harlow, Aid Curtiss, Tarah Rodgers, Hereith Paul, Alicia Burke, Maria Borges as well as Grace Mahary.
New York Fashion Week: Cushnie Spring-Summer 2019 Runway Show
In a realm well-known for over the top glamour and structure; it is refreshing to see Cushnie still lean toward simplistic luxury. The fashion label’s fashion show for the Spring/Summer 2019 season incorporated enchanting floor-length gowns, as well as modern denim wear.
If you love a great jean ensemble then the LEE x Cushnie lineup (which is apart of the Cushnie SS19 collection) will certainly be worth your couture consideration. It includes tops, pants, jumpsuits and even cut-out dresses. A very fun, relaxed and flirty addition to an already set to stun runway show.
Another aspect that we absolutely loved about the show is the sexy elements of the gowns. Cushnie proves that less can be more. While the gowns cover most of the body; deep V necks, high thigh slits, cut-outs, fringe, spaghetti strap as well as off the shoulder designs infused each look with sultry sass.
Lastly, the color tones are playful, sophisticated and strong. From festive to noire, the hues of the collection are perfect for the spring as well as summer seasons.
Fashion Notes: When it comes to fashion styling remember to K.I.S.S. (keep it simple sis). Models in the show wore sleek and well-trimmed tresses as well as simple yet large hoop earrings.
