The Ralph and Russo Fall/Winter 2020 Ready to Wear collection can be summed up in one word: ELEGANCE! The iconic couture label accomplished that description with designs that perfectly highlight the female form. Draping, florals and wardrobe classics like “the shirt dress” makes a gorgeous representation of what fall and winter fashion should be all about!
What are the some of trends that you can use as inspiration for your everyday looks? First of all, don’t be afraid to wear “white.” Growing up and even now you probably have people doing their best to convince you that rocking white after Labor Day is the worst sin to commit. This is just not true.
Where that logic comes from, we do not know. But honestly, white looks amazing all year. Seriously, think about it. Come wintertime, does the snow not look magical and amazing when it falls? So why in this green earth, would wearing such a color be so bad during this very season?! Ridiculous we say!
Not wearing white makes absolutely no sense; so we say ignore that. And it’s refreshing to see designers like Ralph & Russo ignore that thinking too. All of their white tone designs are fabulous. From wool capes to double breasted blazers and biker jackets; every winter white creation they sent down the runway just looks classic and luxurious.

Another trend we picked up on was the use of florals. Now once again there are those who insist that florals is just a spring thing. But we are sorry, flowers are such a work of art. Limiting them to just strictly one season sounds like a bore, if we ever did hear of one.
Florals are cheery and can be quite festive looking. So who wouldn’t want to infuse their look with all that style happiness? Plus, flower designs are something everyone can wear. It’s a nice extra touch to pants, dresses, boots and skirts without coming across as overly LOUD.
Lastly, Ralph & Russo added a bit of sexiness to their glamorous couture looks. Models didn’t resemble nuns. Instead, a slits and sheer detailing added a bit of allurement. Nothing trashy or anything; just a slight hints of skin to raise the temperature dial.
