Even just a glimmer of hope, can do a lot to help young people rise to their full potential and accomplish great things! Yes, presently there is a lot of work to be done; but the future is looking better and better. For instance, Project Glimmer is working tirelessly to help empower one million girls by 2022! How are things going, and how exactly is such an entity strengthening young women to prosper despite negative rhetoric?
Well, if you are wondering, PG is “doing fantastic sweetie!” Project Glimmer’s efforts are indeed paying off as they now are celebrating 10 years of helping 500,000+ young women in all 50 states; grow personal confidence; meet positive role models; and build a support network. Yes, amazingly Project Glimmer is a national nonprofit organization serving over half a million teenage girls and women, 86% of whom are young women of color.
What’s next? A “party” with a purpose! Project Glimmer’s 10 Year Celebration, An Empowered Future; is an upcoming virtual event occurring on October 22, 2o2o. Which will feature special remarks as well as performances from 5 accomplished and dynamic women!
