Make Your Evening Happy with a Blue Hawaiian
You just can’t go wrong with a cocktail in your hand while sitting poolside or chilling out on your chaise lounge. A great cocktail drink to go with your evening of leisure is the Blue Hawaiian. It was created by Harry Yee in 1957 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, simply because a traveling sales rep asked for a drink made with Blue Curacao. Curacao is an orange based liqueur that can be orange or blue in color and is often used to make tropical drinks. Without further ado, here is the recipe:
¾ oz. light rum
¾ oz. vodka
½ oz. Blue Curacao liqueur
3 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. sweet and sour mix
In a glass shaker pour all ingredients over ice. Shake until ingredients are well mixed. Pour into cocktail glass and garnish with a wedge of pineapple and an umbrella.
