How to Stop the Squeaking of the Underwire in Your Bra
It’s important to wear a bra that fits comfortably and supports you throughout the day. However, sometimes the underwire in the bra can tend to squeak. You may feel inclined to apply some oil to the squeaky wheel so to speak. That’s the worst thing you can do as the oil can deteriorate synthetic fibers and irritate your skin. So here’s what you need to do:
- Lay the bra flat and smooth out any fabric around the underwire that is twisted
- Make sure the underwire is in a “U” shape, if not straighten out any distortions
- Put on the bra using your usual hooks
- Make sure there is enough width in the underwire to go around the breast. If necessary to move the hooks to a larger size to give the wire more room to move
