Dear Readers,

Let us be the first to welcome you to the month of August! Is it just us or is 2014 just flying on by? We hope that you have been enjoying the warm weather as this season winds down to its end. However, before this sizzling party concludes we are going to keep the festivities rolling with must read features covering everything from A to Z.

Of course it has been absolutely beautiful outside, but that doesn’t necessarily mean your beauty or makeup looks are going to be just as perfect. For those who have to battle T-Zones, acne (even on areas other than your face) and excessive oiliness please do not fret we have your back! This edition reveals the insider tips and tricks to make these beauty woes go bye-bye.

Exclusive! Get to know skincare expert, Raquel Symone and learn how you can get rid of unwanted skin problems in no time flat. Symone owns one of the hottest beauty boutiques in the Chicago area and we have your all access pass to what you can find inside!

We are always obsessed with hair and this issue dives into how to protect tresses when swimming as well as when it has been colored or dyed. Moreover, we take a trip down memory lane with songstress, Ashanti to give you a little hair inspiration. That alone may sound like music to your ears, so once you’re done reading our Hair section, be sure to scroll a few pages to read up on a new musical artist set to take the world by storm. His name is Billy Ivan and he has a message for all of you as well as a first listen to his upcoming release.

Last but not at all least; allow us to whisk you off to see the wonders of Bhutan. Explore the sights and learn why Bhutan is one of the most exhilarating travel destinations in the world. Short on time, but still want to get a quick workout in while you vacation? This month learn a short circuit routine that will burn fat and tone you up all over in just a few minutes. Whew, that is just a quick preview of this issue, we know you shall enjoy it and don’t forget that next month is our big September extraganza. Until then, have fun and happy reading!

Sincerely,

Alicia and Arianne
