Charmayne “Maxee” Maxwell of Brownstone Dies at 46

With very heavy hearts we report on the loss of the talented Charmayne “Maxee” Maxwell formerly of 90’s girl group, Brownstone. We would have to say that our favorite song by Brownstone would have to be “If You Love Me.” Back in the day that song was all over the charts and we sang our hearts out to it in the back seat of our mother’s Saab daily. Brownstone was discovered by the late Michael Jackson (so you KNOW these ladies had talent, they could BLOW) and were signed to his MJJ label. Gone way too soon and our thoughts are with Maxwell’s children and family as well as the group members Charmayne has left behind: Nicci Gilbert, Kina Cosper, Teisha Brown, Kymberli Wright, Racquel Roberts and Monica “Mimi” Doby.
