The Teyana Taylor Bare Wit Me music video just hits different! In a topsy turvy year, TT manages to give 2020 something to talk about in the realm of music. Her new visuals went VIRAL in a matter minutes, as fans debated whether Teyana is giving off more Michael Jackson or Janet Jackson vibes.

This all comes on the heels of Prince Harry and Meghan’s return to England for their final royal engagements. In which the duchess dropped the fashion mic in one mesmerizing design after the other; for the whole world to see. Furthermore, in true fabulous fashion, Meghan is remaining high above any British press negativity; and continuing in her charitable and honorable acts towards the world and environment; with her latest assignment with Disney. How?
First and foremost it should be noted that neither Meghan or Prince Harry is being paid for Elephant. Meghan participated because she wanted to and due to the good it will do for elephants in general. Disney is donating funds to Elephants Without Borders. You may recall the couple visiting Botswana in 2016 and 2017 to help Dr. Mike Chase (founder of Elephants Without Borders) to help with the relief effort there. Therefore, Duchess Meghan had plenty of initiative and drive to be apart of this well-kept secret of Disney.

Nevertheless, this long-awaited project has been a quite “hush-hush” collaboration between the Duchess of Sussex and Disney Nature even on into 2020. However, the entertainment giant finally broke the silence once and for all. Disney took to social to announce today that not only was the project completed; but it would air in LESS than a week! The release? Elephant, a documentary that follows a herd of elephants during their trial some journey across the unforgiving desert.
Viewers are taken on an insiders look into just what elephants face during their “pilgrimage.” The audience is treated to getting to know members of the herd more intimately. The doc focuses on an elephant named Shani and her son, Jomo. The pair travel along with their herd across the “Kalashnikov” desert.
What desert? Okay, we have a confession, the desert in the doc is actually called the Kalahari desert. We’re glad you caught that. Now there are plenty of areas and regions in Africa that are well known. However, the Kalahari or “Kalashnikov” desert may not be one of them for a lot of people.
Therefore, we thought it would be cool to dip a toe in the educational pool in order to find out about this desert that is showcased in the film. Honestly, this Disney documentary will be most helpful; because there’s really not much information out there. A quick Google search will basically yield you nothing… well if you search incorrectly.
Not only will you not gain much info BUT you may even be left confused. Search up Kalashnikov Desert and you’ll mostly like see a range of knives and guns. To help one survive out in the desert (LOL). Definitely not what we’re looking for right?

The talented John Legend Home Concert “Together at Home” IG Live Stream is helping to take the edge off for many quarantined citizens. As lockdowns continue to increase, many are searching for ways to not only fill the time; but just actually still have some fun.
To fill this need, several music artists have put together free live streaming concerts. For instance, Coldplay’s Chris Martin hit his fans with a home concert that was loved by many it. It was this event that the wheels turning for John Legend.
John Legend Home Concert -“Together at Home” IG Livestream Concert!
On twitter Legend gave credit to Martin for this idea of playing free concerts at home. Then he proceeded to give details on how fans could watch his concert at 1pm Pacific time.
What we love about all of these free at home concerts is that they are filling several needs. One of them is painfully obvious. Boredom. The other is that many are or either are going to be flat broke; and just needing to hold onto the cash they still have in order to successfully ride out this Covid 19 pandemic.
Nevertheless, sickness or not, this doesn’t downplay the need for people to enjoy themselves. A normal healthy person needs it to stay healthy both psychologically and physically. Therefore, giving a people an outlet through music is an awesome solution to such a problem.
Furthermore, this event also helps to solve one of the biggest challenges facing us all. The need to engage in social distancing and go into quarantine. Just about every health organization as well as public official has admitted to this being the part of the necessary components to minimizing the effects of the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
However, this is simply not happening everywhere like it should. There’s countless photos of people at bars, restaurants and beaches. To the point that major cities are now more forcibly being placed under lockdown.

John Legend Home Concert- What Went Down
So did you catch it or miss it? Even if you missed it, that’s the beautiful thing about IG and technology. You will be able to catch it later anyway.
Due to that, we won’t give to many spoilers; but being Disney fans and believing that Beauty and the Beast is hands down one of the best to ever do in animation movies (at us, we have time and want all the smoke LOL); we had to share this moment.
Chrissy Teigen and her fabulous self went live with John in typical home fashion… a towel and head turban. Oh… plus, a glass of wine (we have no choice to stan honey). And their beautiful daughter sat in for a time. It was during this cry worthy moment that Legend went legendary on us and played the lead song of Beauty and the Beauty.
Chills. Simply chills. Is how we can describe the performance of this song. John also kicked things off overall with a tune by Stevie Wonder. But as promised we said not too many details; as a result if you want to know which one you’ll have to just check out the Concert. So then, if you can find time to watch it you will not be disappointed.

A man and his piano. John’s concert immediately was a hit. Now even at full compacity an arena can hold what, 10-20,000 screaming fans? Or let’s go bigger. How about a stadium? Well, according to google the average large stadium holds around 102-114,000.
How do these numbers stack of to the John Legend Home Concert? As soon as the concert began via livestream on social media platform, Instagram, it had obliterated arena numbers. Over 95,000 viewers had tuned in just minutes!
Moreover, the number just kept rising. Moments later the tally was easily reaching up over 110,000 people. A viewership that most artists would and could only dream of. Legend literally played to packed out STADIUM virtually. Epic. However, John made it worth every second.
His melodic voice didn’t need any extras. No dancers, fancy lighting or even pyro. It is a nod back to how music used to be; for those of us who can remember. Just having the ability to sing live and on the spot.
Legends concert echos old Soul Train episodes. The live performances of Al Green, Barry White and Marvin Gaye. Yes, I know I may not have been alive for those episodes but YouTube has them and I still love watching them with my grandmother.
Nevertheless, it’s nice to see a return of simplicity to the music realm. Don’t get me wrong, I love high energy dancing and Fire being hurled at me during performances (hi Michael, Janet, Ciara and Bey); but this is just as fabulous and was a joy to watch!
How It All Began
As we witnessed today, imitation is the best form of art! John’s concert was definitely one for the books. It all started as a simple tweet from John stating:
“My friend Chris Martin did a lovely little concert from home today. I’ll be doing one tomorrow at 1pm Pacific time. See you soon.”
Legend kept his word; and at one sharp we saw him take his “stage.” With nothing more than his home piano, cell phone, robe (he claimed errr… he was at least wearing underwear under lol); and a glass a water. Freaking… Legend!
Together at Home -Right Event at the Right Time
Furthermore, as one can see, John’s Concert is coming right when it should!
But there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Especially, for music goers looking forward to seeing their faves acts again live in the flesh again. While for now, seeing John play at home is the only and best option; he is actually slated to go on tour this summer!
While so MUCH information has been put out there in regards to how much time we’re all going to be under lockdown. So far latest estimates have us doing our thing at home till July or August. The source we are using comes the mouth of the President that was quoted in the New York Times on March 16th.

But, with all that being said what is that light end of tunnel concerning John? What can fans still look forward to soon?
New Tour Who Dis?
Fans can look forward to John being back on the road. Now yes, all of the lockdown and quarantine lifts would have to be abolished. But since, John hadn’t planned to tour till this summer anyway; the odds are looking pretty darn good.
On John’s official website www.johnlegend.com tickets for all the dates; with the exception of one, are already on sale. John’s tour will kick off in Grand Pixie, Texas on August 12th. With the date being several months down the line; it very well could begin without a hitch.
Or at the very least, he would only have to slightly move things around even if the Coronavirus implications lasted a tad longer. Legend’s tour extends all the way to the end of September. Therefore, if need be, he could flip his tour and work backwards.
Meaning push his tour out to September starting with the locations already slated for September. Then simply in October, go back to all the missed concert locations that were scheduled in August. Make sense? Well, at least to us it does (Lol).
Nevertheless, we are confident that John’s people are all over it and will do their utmost to ensure fans get what’s coming to them.
John Legend Home Concert -What This Means for The Future of Music
Chris Martin and John Legend are setting the bar when it comes to not only doing something good for the people; but wait…promotion?! Yeah, it’s true. Now while these concerts were used in order to spread the word on the importance of social distancing as well as various reforms.
The truth is, they were also great positive vehicles for the artists who put them on. Not only are you looked at now as one of the celebrities doing good things for good people. BUT you are allowing a lot of people in to see your raw talent and perhaps be won over as fans.
Think about the random people who tuned in just because who might now be tempted to see John on tour. Or perhaps those who were already fans who might buy a song or two; or stream here and there who are now pumped about seeing him live. Both groups were reached all due to a concert that was put on through a cell phone while the singer sat in his underwear.
Something any artist could do and find themselves raking in more money on their real tours. PLUS, these free concerts in the future could net such artists a lot of coins. Since let’s face it, big companies always figure out how to get a slice of the pie no matter how big or small it is.
Such companies could pay Artists to say their free concert is brought to them “by;” then fill in the blank. Or through product placement like in TV and film. It’s not hard to see that such “free” concerts in the future could net musicians and brands new fans and money.

However, we are not at that stage (no pun intended) or point yet and it’s nice to see that we aren’t. It’s something refreshing to just see artists coming together for a good cause. All this is so reminiscent of events like Live Aid, Farm Aid and Michael Jackson’s We Are the World.
Something we all can enjoy, yet still serves a purpose. As things around us seem to be crashing down at an alarming rate; there’s something soothing knowing that one constant will still be there to help pick us up: music.
Music is for the soul. Music is what gets all of us up and swaying with the drop of a beat or the heralding of a single phrase. It’s power, it’s useful and right now more than ever it’s needed.
All we can do is say thank you and tip our hats to any act that can take the time to share their gift with us. Because at times as such as this the saying really rings true. We may not remember but they say or do; but we never forget how they made us feel!

No one likes a good preview more than us. As a result, we went start to the source in order to find out what exactly is in this upcoming magazine edition. Regarding Zendaya’s cover, editorial beauty and story; the magazine says,
“Zendaya puts the Z in Gen Z; and she’s just begun to take flight. Introducing our Out of Office issue starring Zendaya! Her style is on point. Her humor is subtle. And in Euphoria she can break your heart with a look.
[For our December/January issue] Zendaya took us to all new heights with these looks. Creating Zendaya’s 70’s-inspired hair, makeup; and wardrobe for her Allure cover shot was a team effort from her long-time glam squad.
Makeup artist Sheika Daley created a custom blue wash of color on her lids and hairstylist Larry Sims sculpted the edgy; sky-high hair to complement the bold look.
[Furthermore, in her story you’ll learn] ‘You can’t do it all’ is one of Zendaya’s least favorite sayings. [She says] ‘It makes me mad. I don’t like the idea that you have to box yourself in or stay in one lane. Why wouldn’t I want to try to make the most of my talents and my gifts while I can?'”

Her Royal Highness, Meghan Markle Covers Tatler Magazine December 2019 Edition! Yes, it’s true, the Duchess of Sussex is a GORGEOUS cover girl for one of the longest running magazines in the modern era. Kudos!
HOWEVER… this issue is causing many to raise a few eyebrows. Why? Well, let’s just say the verbiage is not exactly “friendly.”
It’s a bit shocking; because news of this new cover comes on the heels of a heart-wrenching interview in which Markle admits that being a new mom and wife in the public eye is tough. Not only is it not as easy as it looks; but there are not too many that even think to ask if Meghan is doing okay.
Honestly, when you see the footage; if you have a soul at all your heart goes out to her. You see genuine sadness in her eyes. If reaching through a screen was technologically possible; many of us would of took the opportunity to reach on through with a hug. Meghan seemed to be near tears.
Nevertheless, her behavior is still not “odd.” It is common. Many new moms at times experience postpartum depression after giving birth to their little bundles of joy. Moreover, being a celebrity does not shield one from such an emotional experience.
Nevertheless, with such a major and viral reveal from HRH being brought before the eyes of the world. One would think Tatler would have nothing but something positive to say about Markle. WRONG.
Meghan Markle Covers Tatler Magazine December 2019 Edition!
Right smack on the cover you will find Meghan’s face plastered front and center; and the headline, “Does she conquer or divide?” Does she what?! Why is this even being said?
This is really, really BIG issue for Tatler so you would think the headline would naturally be something positive. Instead it’s an uncharacteristic low blow.
Don’t believe? Here’s a quick look back on some of Tatler’s past covers.
First up Julianne Moore gets to talk about beauty, an iconic fashion designer and men. No negatives in reference to her.
Next up is Madonna. The material girl gets to give an interview on her terms… by one of her good friends.
Let’s give a model a world, shall we? Beauty Olympia Campbell also graced the cover of Tatler. However, she is given the grand title of ruler of the waves.
Now let’s turn our attention to the wonderful and talented Liv Tyler (not sarcasm, we really heart her lol). Tatler refers to her as Britain’s American beauty, and a member of high society. Hmm… so an American, can be praised for joining higher circles; but an actual member of the royal family who is also an American no less is nothing but a family and country divider. Interesting.
Lastly, the other Tatler cover for the month of December. It’s a celebration of the magazine’s long-running success. All positive. Just like the above cover mentioning that Elle Fanning is a Hollywood princess.
So What’s Causing This?
Therefore, if Tatler can take the high road regularly for their magazine; why couldn’t they for Meghan? Tatler is a cool mag with a great vibe. Which is why it stinks to see THEM be dividers of the people. The very thing they are accusing the duchess of doing. Ironic.
Nonetheless, We would never wish this type of headline on anyone. Tatler is just stirring the pot and adding fuel to an already horrible media fire. Basically labeling royalty as a “problem starter.” Sad.
Would one say that about the queen? William? Any of the other royals?
One commenter on Tatler’s Instagram summed it up best. “You don’t like Meghan because she’s half black.” Boom.
It’s nothing deeper. It is not about personality. Not that she is a former actress. Unfortunately, it boils down to what is pulsing through her veins. She’s half black and that’s the part of her that some find revulsing. Sadly.
Being of color ourselves, we have experienced this very same phenomena. It’s not fun. We really wish it was not common. However, prejudice for now exists, and we look forward to the day it doesn’t.
Her Royal Highness, Meghan Markle Covers Tatler Magazine December 2019 Edition —But There is Good News
Well now that you have background on the controversy. You can form your own opinion on it. Moreover, since Tatler is not being entirely positive we are choosing to say something nice in their behalf.
There is a silver lining in all of this. In the month of December Tatler will celebrate a major milestone. Their mag will be 310 years young! WOW!
That kind of longevity truly deserves a round of applause. Especially with all the developments in tech and publishing. We tip our hats to them and give them a standing ovation for weathering all of the magazine production storms. Additionally, in view of their anniversary edition Tatler reveals,
“Tatler made its instantly success and groundbreaking debut in 1709. 310 years later it is still a must read for those that want the inside track on the most important and influential people in the country. What they are talking about, their tastes and fashion– and to see inside the most glamorous parties in the land. Toast the milestone by picking the 310th Anniversary December issue.”
Furthermore, Meghan being on the cover for such a big milestone is still a very nice accomplishment for her. She gets to be apart of a rich history in the realm of literature and journals. Most likely like us, Meghan probably realizes that you’re never going to be loved by everyone; yet that does not mean you still won’t have the opportunity to shine. Regarding her feature, Tatler says,
“Who better to appear on the cover of the special 310th Anniversary issue than HRH the Duchess of Sussex, the most talked about woman of the day. Tatler conducted an exclusive nationwide poll on the country’s opinions on Meghan and four writers share their differing takes on the Duchess.”
While we hate the titling; it’s still a big issue, a big deal for Tatler and a big well done to Meghan for keeping her composure in a divided world.

Fans, colleagues of melanin and fellow lovers of good music please save the date. All the fire and newness shall hit our ears on August 16th!

Normani Motivation Dropping 8.16 -Save the Date Y’all!
Why Normani, just why (LOL)? Why has it taken till August for this?! Like many others, we love this girl’s high energy performances and music; but sometimes it feels like we are playing the waiting game. However, she heard her fans pleas; and is putting us out of our music misery this summer and giving us something new to listen to.
Now as we all know the wait most likely is do the fact that Normani has just been seriously busy. This year, the singer basically has been on tour with music bestie, Ariana Grande. This is where it gets interesting!
Did you know that Normani’s new song Motivation has a very high profile co-writer? SAY WHAT?! Yes, word on the not so quiet street is that Motivation is also penned by the queen of the ponytail herself, Ariana Grande!
With Grande giving us plenty of 2019 heat and Thank You Next memes; we can be confident that Motivation is going to be just as major. Music journal, Rolling Stone confirmed the news from the former Fifth Harmony member. Here’s excerpt from that exclusive with Normani talking away about Ariana and her coming aboard Motivation! She says,
“She’s been very supportive of me too. I talk to her about the creative process. ‘I’m like, ‘When did you know your album was done?’ She was just like, ‘Honestly, you’ll know. Nobody will have to tell you. You’ll feel it. Just trust your instinct; trust your gut. And listen to that voice inside you; and it’ll tell you that you’re done. Just take your time, too, and have fun in the process and make sure that it’s something that you love.’
She’s dope. She also has a part in the record that I’m releasing, too. She wrote on it.”
We love this duo, so the fact that they decided to team up on a song; is just everything. From road mates to song mates, it’s awesome to see two awesome artists come together to make magic in the studio.
Motivation -The Single
This new release by Normani is BIG. It marks the beginning of an era for the budding solo artist. No not a collab, but just the stylings of Normani. Due to this many fans have been wondering what kind of sound to expect.
Normani wants one and all to know it will not be like what they are used to. For instance, the singer’s smash with Sam Smith, Dancing with a Stranger, had a very “dark”… moody, yet melodic vibe to it. Yet, Motivation will not follow in the same footsteps.
Expect high energy, Normani wants you to get up and dance! In a recent interview Normani reveals,
“I recorded this song a while back. And it’s crazy because, I’ll be on Twitter; and fans will be like, ‘Sis, where’s the new music? Where’s the new music?’ I’m like, ‘Guys, it’s coming, promise it’s coming.’
I shot the video probably a month ago. It’s going to be worth the wait… It’s an upbeat [song]. It [is] a feel good song record. I think that everybody will really love it. It was the first opportunity that I had to have fun.
I think that people have been waiting for me to have fun and I’ve had so many records like ‘Waves’ and ‘Love Lies’ and Sam Smith’s ‘Dancing With a Stranger;’ which are a little bit more R&B smooth sailing.”
Our Take on Motivation
Smart move young lady. If Normani was just another studio slash ballad singer; then fine, a slower chrooner song would of been lit. HOWEVER, that is not the case here. Normani is 23. She is a 23 year old performer; scratch that, she is an entertainer honey!
Heck, for some time now Normani has even been compared to the queen herself, Beyoncé. A comparison that usually spells death to the career of any female attempting to make the claim. Nevertheless, Normani bypasses all beyhive hate and is continuously gaining more fans and respect.
With that being said, a fast paced song is totally the way to go here. Since people like to move, people like shake; they like to get there like the sidewalk is a club!
Furthermore, this will also highlight Normani’s range. Yes, she can bring tears to our eyes with her hauntingly beautiful vocals on a R&B track. But she can also make us dip in the knees and shake what our mamas may or may not have blessed us with (lol).
We love that Normani is deciding to show the world that she is the next big thing. She can sing. She can dance. Plus, she can put together an album that excites the masses. Something that seems to really be missing in the industry as of late.
Winning and Moving On Up
New song, new video, who dis? While the countdown may be on for Motivation. That does not mean that Normani still is not out here making waves. The girl is steadily collecting major hardware!
All of this new music news comes on the heels of the 2019 Teen Choice Awards. Normani won big taking home 2 awards. What did she win for? Normani won under the categories of: Choice R&B Hip/Hop Artist as well as Choice Pop Song.

Put some gymnastics respect on her name! Simone Biles continues to up the bar (or shall we say beam, wink); and prove why she is truly the “G.O.A.T” in competition history! Even with tons of Olympic gold hardware under her belt; Simone seems to be only getting BETTER. Therefore, what is her newest and latest milestone? Simone Biles is First Gymnast to Land Double-Double Dismount … EVER!
Simone Biles is First Gymnast to Land Double-Double Dismount
She didn’t just land it. You guys, she smashed it! In a display of sheer power, elegance and fluidity; Biles seamlessly stuck the first double double dismount in gymnastics history off the balance beam with ease.
This type of dismount is no small potatoes either. It sounds and is as technical as it’s very name. This new Simone double-double landing involves twists as well as somersaults. When dismounting, a gymnast has to complete two twists and two somersaults all before connecting with the ground in order to get it right. And oh yeah… not hop all around or fall over so that you don’t stick the landing!
In her performance, this past Friday at the 2019 U.S. Gymnastics Championships; Biles made it look like she was just walking through the park. NBC Sports caught all the sweet action and tweeted out not just the now historic dismount; but Simone’s entire performance. It’s intense! Simone Biles is First Gymnast to Land Double-Double Dismount – The Motivation
Amazing right?! Simone is certainly in a class of her very own. Nonetheless, never heard of a double-double dismount on the beam before now? Well, it’s because no one else is out there trying to do it. Biles is the type of competitor and gymnastics pioneer who doesn’t like to rest on her laurels.
Biles to us, reminds us of the great snowboarding king, Shaun White. White is arguably the best to ever do it; standing tall with the most X Games wins and Olympic gold medals for a snowboarder and 10 ESPY Awards (BOOM lol). Yeah, he completely revolutionized his sport as well; AND even after becoming an Olympic gold medal winner (like Biles); STILL wanted to do cooler, bigger and riskier moves down the half pipe.
And he did it. Back in the good winter of 2018. Shaun put down one of the most scariest, insane tricks ever. The boy took it to the edge, walked the fine line and went home with the big “W”… again. When it all was said and done; you realized White did it because of his INTENSE love of the sport; as well as his major determination to get back and be at the top.
Simone is the same type of amazing, mentally strong, go-getter athlete. She loves, enjoys and lavishes in the chance to be able to not only push her sport; but HERSELF forward. In a recent interview, Biles states that she aims to be the very best. Sloppiness as well as a mistake here and there is not what she likes to tolerate.
As a result, being the absolute best in her mind and realm; means giving a perfect performance each and every time. In statement regarding such results Bile says,
“As soon as I fell on floor, I was like, ‘That’s it. I’m scratching the meet. I’m walking off the floor. But I’m happy with the way I ended the meet.
“I feel like I compete for perfection… whenever I don’t do that, it really irritates me.”
Why She’s The GOAT Baby!
Nevertheless, it’s that kind of thought process and work ethic that makes Simone Biles unbeatable. The girl has no quit. Being the best to her is not getting out there and playing it safe. She goes out there with confidence and a big bag of awesome kick butt tricks.
Don’t believe us? Well, believe her resume. In America’s history, Biles is one of the most decorated champions the sport has ever seen. According to Wikipedia Biles,
“Having won a combined total of twenty-five Olympic and World Championship medals, Biles is the most decorated American gymnast. Biles became the sixth woman to win an individual all-around title at both the World Championships and the Olympic Games.”
You simply don’t win that much without being daring and brave. Moreover, while we all certainly marvel over Simone’s nail-biting double-double dismount. That isn’t the only historic move Simone decided to try.
This national championships, Biles became the first woman to attempt a triple-double — which is two flips and three twists in the air — in competition during the floor exercise. Unfortunately, Simone couldn’t quite get it there, but it was close! The gymnast just missed the landing, falling forward. However, the fact that this 4’4 powerhouse came to compete with not just one; but TWO unseen moves is still a testament to her level of greatness.
The Great Says She’s the Greatest
Furthermore, Simone Biles is also making fans out the greats themselves. For instance, start with “America’s Sweetheart,” Mary Lou Retton.
Mary Lou, is the 1984 women’s gymnastics champion nicknamed “America’s Sweetheart” after she became the first U.S. woman to win the individual all-around Olympic gold medal. When talks and debates of best gymnasts begin; she is often considered the greatest American gymnast of all time. However, interestingly she says Simone Biles is better.
In an interview with People magazine, Mary Lou got quite candid about how gymnastics has evolved since her era; as well as why Simone is top dog. Retton states,
“I say it over and over again. She is the greatest gymnast ever, I really do think that.
We have a running joke that she’s so strong she should have to compete with the men. She’s that strong.
[Simone’s] a special athlete, very unique with a God-given talent that you don’t teach. Her coach, Aimee, is great in improving upon that, but it’s something that she was born with. She’s just the best gymnast I’ve ever seen in my life and I think a lot of us as athletes and even Olympic champions say the same thing.
Back in my generation, it was slender, pixie, little gymnasts with the pony tails and bows; and in walked me in Los Angeles with short hair and this big athletic body with thunder thighs. That’s what they used to call me – and the sport had never seen anybody like me. Fast forward to now… and the women look like I did. You have to be strong since the sport has evolved. It’s so exciting to watch.
[Furthermore] It’s so difficult. I say to myself every four years, ‘This is it, we’re at the limit. We can’t do anything more difficult.’ And then walks in Simone Biles and she just blows your mind.”
Simone Biles, a Beautiful Legacy
Same. Retton we all feel the exact same. Biles’ dynamic performances are always entertaining, heart-pounding and dare we say, down right iconic. When you watch her, you know you are watching history.
When comes to this year’s championships we may just hear a little more “her-story” in just a few hours. This is because Simone Biles is currently leading at the two-day competition. Biles is the favorite and is expected to win her sixth US title on Sunday. According to CNN, this will be no ordinary feat. No woman has won 6 titles since Clara Schroth Lomady in 1952. So keep an eye on those gymnastics history books one more time!
To sum all of this up we are reminded of a Nike ad campaign starring Simone Biles. In the ad you see her flying gracefully through the air in one of her signature; gravity defying moves. The caption? It reads, “Do things history could only dream of.” Mission accomplished Simone, and congrats.
