Case in point, a Beyhive alumni, one of Beyoncés, tour dancers; Saidah Nairobi!

Born in Queens, NY and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Saidah Nairobi’s career as a professional dancer is extraordinary. It is the story of faith-driven success and inspiring ambition. With no formal dance training but an exceptional rawness and passion to perform Nairobi is now one of the dance world’s elite. Saidah’s experiences can be best described as exciting, adventurous, and profound in blessings.
Since 2008, Saidah has danced back-up for music heavyweights including Beyonce (I Am World Tour, Formation World Tour), Usher (OMG World Tour), Ciara, and Ne-Yo. In addition to hitting the stage globally, Saidah has also performed on a number of music award shows and television shows. Shows such as the Grammys, BET Awards, MTV VMAs, American Music Awards, Good Morning America and Ellen. Whew, and that’s not all!
You can tack on The View, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, and So You Think You Can Dance to her resume as well. Moreover, she has performed at the Superbowl twice, most recently with Beyonce, Bruno Mars, and Coldplay for Superbowl 50. We still love that grand performance! Nairobi’s 2011 with Usher and Black Eyed Peas performance for Superbowl XLV is also a favorite.

Saidah has also been featured in countless music videos including but not limited to, Sweet Dreams (Beyonce), Body Party, I’m Out (Ciara), OMG ft. Will.I.Am , Hey Daddy (Usher), and Coming With You (NeYo). Since 2009, as a result of dancing on Beyonce’s I Am Tour, Saidah has sported what’s become her signature look. Short blonde hair, a hairstyle that is quickly reemerging as a popular phenom.
Saidah recently completed touring as a back-up dancer on Beyonce’s Formation World Tour. You would think a well deserved vacation is in order. However, Saidah is not slowing down. Her upcoming projects include the release of her socially-empowering record, “We Are.” Also, a dance memoir titled, ‘The Journey of a Dream.’ Plus, the launch of Gold Hearts & Crowns, a non-profit organization where she is on the Board of Directors.
