It’s here!! Award season is upon us; which means fabulous hair, stunning makeup and gorgeous couture. Kicking things off during the second week of January is the 2024 Golden Globes Awards.
The show itself came with a lot of great surprises. The film Oppenheimer cleans up with Christopher Nolan, Robert Downey Jr. as well as Cillian Murphy picking up accolades from their work. Moreover, the award-winning film walks away with so many Globes; that it is the most for a picture since La La Land.
Furthermore, the high-grossing box office film, Barbie, is also not overlooked. It takes home a nod for cinematography as well as for it’s financial success. The film stars Margot Robbie, Issa Rae and Ryan Gosling.
Additionally, two talented black actresses also won big. Da’ Vine Joy Randolph and ‘the people’s princess’, Ayo Edebiri. Randolph wins best supporting actress in a motion picture for The Holdovers; and Ayo wins best actress in a television musical or comedy for The Bear.
As one can see, another wonderful night celebrating excellence in the entertainment industry. Nevertheless, it is not only the stars’ projects that we love to celebrate on Golden Globes night. It is also their great fashion sense and style that we red carpet enthusiasts breathe in like air. Therefore, let’s go ahead and get into the couture!
