Two women, both talented and both recipients of 2017 Billboard Women in Music Awards! Kehlani and Solange are living proof that girls can be themselves, have a voice and help others to do the same. Recently, Kehlani shared with her fans just how much of an inspiration Solange has proven to be for her in her life as well as career.

So how does Kehlani feel about her fellow comrade in music? The sultry singer mentions,
“Man I’m always shook but in this moment I was shaken and stirred. Yo… I’ve been listening to this woman since her first project. A woman who took her time, who remained incredibly honest and so HERSELF.
A woman with connection to the universe, who’s album got me through the toughest time. I love you girl. I am speechless. (P.S. you touched my hand at SF Pride years ago and I never forgot it.)”
Solange and Kehlani’s meet up at the 2017 Billboard Women in Music Awards had an effect on both parties. In response to Kehlani’s sweet words Solange replied,
“I’m blown away. Means so much. You keep shining out there and living your truth and inspiring so d*mn many. All love to you always and the vocals tonight. Congratulations!”
Alright… someone pass the Kleenex! It is always wonderful to see two women not competing, but pushing each other to new levels and heights. Congratulations to both of this awesome ladies on their Billboard honors. Plus, we can’t wait to see what they have in store for all of the world in the future.
