1966 Magazine October 2015 Edition

Our October issue is out now and if you are a fashion runway fanatic then you are going to L-O-V-E this month’s issue! We cover designer fashions showcased at New York Fashion Week and also see what the MUAs (makeup artists) as well as hair stylists were up to backstage. It takes a whole team to create a lasting impression on the catwalk and we got your insider scoop on it all.

Nevertheless, that is not all that you will discover within this month’s pages and to help give you a better idea we have decided to start posting our Editor Letters! Every month our newest letters to 1966 readers will be posted here on the blog so that even our blog visitors can see what exactly can be found inside 1966 that month. We hope that you will love this new feature post on the blog and that you will enjoy checking out as well as reading this month’s issue. Enjoy!

1966 Magazine October Editors Letter

Dear Readers,

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s just New York Fashion Week being back in town yet again! Our style glasses runneth over during one of fashion’s most star-studded, fabulous events and we could not wait to share the sights and trends with all of you. From backstage to the catwalk we were front and center with cameras locked as well as loaded. Enjoy pages upon pages of runway shows including women’s as well as men’s couture designs.

Also, under our Fashion section we share a little tried and tested advice on how to really get down on online shopping. Want to know how to save money with major online retailers? You will have to scroll on over to page 20 to learn how now!

Even though this issue is stacked with fashion features we still got the beauty, hair, fitness, travel and interior design flow going strong. See how to win the battle of the bulge on page 48, hair inspiration and trends beginning on page 36 as well as helpful skincare advice on page 30.

Lastly, don’t forget to read inspirational stories on Holly Robinson-Peete, Vanessa Williams and Emmy winner Viola Davis! Moreover, people of color are not just making moves in the film industry, we recently came across a video game based on African culture. Read all about the Aurion game for it is our Spotlight for the month of October. We could go on and on, but we’ll just let you discover more of this month’s content for yourself.

We love hearing from all of you and invite you all to come see us here in L.A. for the Beauty and the Business event on October 18! Learn more details on our blog and social media. We hope that you can join us for a day of beauty this month and as always happy reading!

Sincerely,

Alicia and Arianne
