Black Business: Tyra Banks Teaching Stanford Business Students
Any great entrepreneur will tell you to seek role models among those who are already successful. Why? Their example and priceless knowledge could help you to reach your very own goals too. Tyra took a moment out of her busy teaching schedule to talk Stanford and her class. She states,
“On the way to teach Visual Branding and am dressed causally to allow my Stanford Business students to think outside of traditional business suit rules. I feel so at home teaching at Stanford. I’m teaching as well as learning.
I wish I could say every day in class Stanford Business is super serious, but every now and then, my co-teacher Allison Kluger and I let loose. How do you spell powerhouse? K-L-U-G-E-R. At Stanford Allison Kluger is my dynamic partner in Personal Branding crime. She’s nonstop hustle 24/7/365. And I thought I was a hard worker.
[Right now I’m] fueling up with some lettuce wrapped chicken mole Mexican goodness before an intense ‘presenting our brand’ session where my Stanford Business students are front and center on live television.”
Yikes, that does sound intense! However, such preparation is truly key to being a well-rounded business owner. So then, never be afraid to learn more or share your own wisdom. Such an interchange is truly beneficial for everyone.
