It did not take long for us to become huge fans of Draya Michele’s brand Beige and Coco. Her collection is very her and has a rich, luxury feel. One piece that is definitely noteworthy is the Beige and Coco Faux Coat.

Our love for the Beige and Coco Faux Fur Coat came about for a number of reasons. For one, it is a piece that can instantly be described as “classic.” If you are looking for a way to add a bit of affluence and extravagance to your wardrobe, a fur coat will accomplish that in seconds. For years, fur coats have been associated with opulence and wealthiness. Think old Hollywood and you will instantly get the picture.

Nevertheless, it is usually the price tag associated with fur coats that is enough to make some go never mind. Also, there’s the amount of cruelty that is linked to production as well as the design processes used by many major brands. Draya Michele is taking the high road with these issues when it comes to her fashions. She commented on her signature coat by stating:

“To FUR or not to FUR… we all wonder about a few things when it comes to fUR… principles and price. When deciding to add FUR to my line, I decided to take the humane way out by designing a Faux FUR coat. It’s stylish, warm and affordable! I hope you all love.”

We have to agree that the coat is stylish and an attention grabber. This particular fur coat comes in different shades, a gorgeous noire tint as well as wine. Therefore, go ahead and indulge a little this winter and look like a true diva in a beautiful faux fur coat!

Style Ambassador: SA Fashion F/W 16

Guess who’s back? You already know, our very own style ambassador, Carly! As you may remember from past posts Carly has been busy living the life of a college girl. School keeps her hopping but she always has a place right here in the 1966 Mag fambam. Since being one of our ambassadors, she has shared many thoughts with us on how she balances school and remain looking fantastic. In today’s post she is filling us in on what’s big in fashion for SA F/W 2016!

Lets break that down just in case (wink, wink). SA F/W 2016. SA F/W 2016 means South Africa Fall/Winter 2016. Okay, everybody good? Perfect! Here’s what our lovely doll had to say:

“We are heading to winter on this side of the globe. Personally, during the seasonal transition I noticed that colours don’t really change much haha Nevertheless, there is another change that has happened. Unfortunately, I haven’t been out shopping or been fully indulging in the fashion world lately. On the daily I seem to find myself falling into my usual style, my uniform (overalls n boots) lol I am always in that! However, I do try to change it up a little colour-wise like with nude or a dusty pink. Speaking of colour for SA F/W 2016 there is a popular trend here that I can share. The whole dark green military trend its still going on here. Looks like it’s here to stay!

Always nice to know what is popular or en vogue around the globe. Carly always has a few words of wisdom for us when we check in with her. We thought what she said was definitely how all of us girls should think. She mentioned,

I believe we are all winners… It is up to you whether you choose to win or lose. In everything I choose to put my mind to I choose to win.”

You go girl! Let us all continue to win. Let us all continue to succeed. It is not just about the beauty, let us always also focus on the brains and determination to turn our dreams as well as goals into realities.

Style Ambassador: The Military Vest X Denim

Sometimes in the realm of fashion all it takes is one simple addition of an article of clothing to update a look for the better. Our Style Ambassador Carly demonstrates how to do this in one simple step. How did she channel her inner Beyonce and “upgrade” her denim? Carly leveled up her couture look with the help of military designed fashion. She revealed to us,

“Its a very playful outfit! Kept it really simple with my old jeans, but with a touch of military which in turn bought life to the outfit lol! Feels so new.”

There you have it gals with the help of a military style vest Carly took her ensemble from old to fresh and new! Instead of throwing away “older” fashions, try modernizing them with trendy pieces to give them new life!

Love color? Color is a simple method to add more flava and spark to your ensemble. Add bright accessories only if you wish to enjoy a more conservative look.
