Sophie Theallet S/S 2016 – NYFW

Collection: Sophie Theallet S/S 2016 – NYFW

Designer: Sophie Theallet

Models Who Walked the Show: Veronica Webb, Lula Kenfe, Mari Agory, Leomie Anderson and Sessilee Lopez

On The Runway: It was a “dream of Africa,” as Theallet references her collection. There were textures of  burlap, lace and a heck of a lot of snakeskin. This collection is literally my favorite right now from the S/S16 season. Theallet doesn’t miss a beat. From head to toe, from stitching to the hem line is just perfection. The color palette is divine and the styling is superb. Forever in love with Theallet.

Designer: Serena Williams

Models Who Walked the Show: Amantha Archibald and Symone Challenger

On The Runway: Serena Williams can’t be stopped, beat or held down. She has her hands in so many different avenues and is a pro at them all. We just love her Signature Statement by HSN S/S 2016 collection. It has a very fun, relaxed feel to it that of course any athlete could wear and feel comfortable in and your everyday woman.

Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Jeremy Scott

Collection: Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Jeremy Scott

Designer: Jeremy Scott

Models Who Walked the Show: Riley Montana, Kai Newman, Leomie Anderson and Cindy Bruna

On The Runway: Ok is it just us or is this Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Jeremy Scott collection giving you vibes of the movie “Mars Attack”. Jeremy Scott delivers once again with his outlandish attires down the runway that leaves you in somewhat of bewilderment. Yet I did love the sort of 70s vibe we were getting through this collection and the of plenty midriff tops. So at least we know Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus will have plenty of things to choose from for there next shows. Other than that who would wear this. Would you wear any of the pieces? Let us know.

Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Thom Browne

Collection: Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Thom Browne

Designer: Thom Browne

Models Who Walked the Show: Adau Mornyang, Lula Kenfe, Milan Dixon and Shamone Edwards.

On The Runway: Soooo. This collection was over the top, kooky and eccentric but in a strange way you just have to love it. To be able to put all these extremes together from the makeup to the two braids sticking straight in the air and yet still have the clothes do the talking is a true art-form. I could really see many people flocking to grab these pieces off the runway, you may dial it down a bit but the core designs are really solid in craftsmanship.

Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Vera Wang

Collection: Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Vera Wang

Designer: Vera Wang

Models Who Walked the Show: Binx Walton, Ineisy Montero, Aya Jones and Imaan Hammam

On The Runway: Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Vera Wang has some bite to it. The looks were very sporty this season with a sort of dark mysterious classiness to it. It was truly a great combination. Paired with the strong fringe bang Vera was able to put a together a complete look that is young, now and hip.

Tommy Hilfiger S/S 2016 – NYFW

Collection: Tommy Hilfiger S/S 2016

Designer: Tommy Hilfiger

Models Who Walked the Show: Tami Williams, Lineisy Montero, Alecia Morais, Leomie Anderson, Jasmine Tookes, Aaya Jones, Imaan Hammam, Kai Newman, Karly Loyce andAmilna estevão

On The Runway: I’m not sure if Tommy Hilfiger is still trying to get on our good side with the black community, but I will say that this collection is a good step in the right direction. I have never seen him use so many models of color that it’s quite shocking. The collection was great and a bit different from what we usually see from Mr. Hilfiger. The vibe was quite Jamaican, safari islander girl. The crochet pieces with the use of ethnic prints and colors were spectacular yet still had the refinement of a true Hilfiger collection. Bravo!!

Collection: Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Prabal Gurung

Designer: Prabal Gurung

Models Who Walked the Show: Aya Jones, Leila Nda, Amilna Estevão and Lineisy Montero

On The Runway:  Love the Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear Prabal Gurung collection. The models looked like beautiful cooper jeweled toned goddesses. There was a great flow to every piece. The collection took its inspiration from Nepal. This was made clear in the choice of fabrics and textures. The orange and yellow powder hues warmed up the runway with chiffon, cascading down taking your breath away.

On The Runway: Light, airy and colorful. Love seeing Tracy taking risk, staying true to her own aesthetic and committing to her own art form. How do you feel about the hair though? Is it to undo?
