Day one of fashion week is in the books baby, and by the looks of things; the future is oh so bright! VFILES lit up Barclays Center with an infusion of couture for the androgynes, edgy individual. The sold out show already hit a fashion high note; but officially dropped the mic with the emergence of a superstar Hip Hop legend. That’s right y’all, what you heard is true… Lil Kim Closes VFILES Spring 2019 Fashion Show!
New York Fashion Week: Lil Kim Closes VFILES Spring 2019 Fashion Show
Make way for the queen! The original Queen Bee is continuing her dominance in music as well as fashion. Kim is riding high after two of her hit LPs (Hard Core and Notorious K.I.M.) re-charted on the hip hop/rap charts. Hard Core even slid snugly into the top ten at number six between the likes of Drake, Cardi B, The Carters, Post Malone and the Nicki Minaj.
Nevertheless, the rap queen also as famously known for her songs as she is for her couture prowess; hit the VFILES catwalk in an eye-popping yellow ensemble. With matching tone hair Lil Kim stomped like she was Naomi down the runway proving once and for all she will always being iconic!
Kim and fashion fans from all over also loved the Queen of New York’s addition to the VFILES YELLOW LABEL show. Here are a few of their thoughts:
“Now that’s the real queen bee.”
“She ate I was too hype lol.”
“Bringing back her TB (throwback) styles into her today styles.”
“YASSSS LIL KIM THE GREATEST TO EVER DO IT!! The reason girls rock colored wigs.”
“The Queen and a legend who changed the rap and fashion industry whether you like it or not.”
“Yesssssssss FASHION WORLD ADORES KIMMMM.”
“I’m soo jealous he gets to stand next to Lil Kim.”
“So this show was AMAZING!!!! Way better than last season I’m so proud of you guys. And whoever this creative director was of this show you deserve an award!”
