Okay, now seriously this is Dope! Actress Kiersy Clemons is once again being recognized as a rising star of Young Tinseltown. Clemons is one of six ladies that Paper magazine has their entertainment eye on as of late.
Paper magazine is running the feature entitled, “The New, New Girls: Six Rising Actresses That Are Making 2016 Their Year!” Kiersy Clemons definitely belongs in this talented pool of actresses. Kiersy first began turning Hollywood heads after she starred in the 2015 Sundance Film Festival hit Dope. In the film Clemons played the take no mess tomboy, Diggy.
Dope was produced by Forest Whitaker, Pharrel Williams as well as Sean “Diddy” Combs. Kiersy Williams also starred in two television series: Transparent and Steven Spielberg’s Extant. So all in all, from the small screen to the big screen Kiersy has serious acting chops.
Nevertheless, this is not the first mag to give Kiersy Williams due credit. Kode magazine also placed her among “Generation Noir.” This grouping included: Serayah, Zendaya, Aja Naomi King, Kat Graham and Yari Shahidi. These ladies are basically the millienials black actress Rat Pack. Talented, beautiful and making serious waves in Hollywood.
