Transplanting your young plant requires lots of care and knowing when and how to transfer them from their pots to the ground. Many vegetables, such a tomatoes, peppers, squash and melons do well when planted early in seed pots.  On the other hand, carrots, parsnips, potatoes and onions need to be directly planted in the ground to achieve best results.
