First Lady Michelle Obama has made it her mission to ensure that children have healthy and nutritional food for lunch and snacks while at school. Of course, parents don’t want to just leave it up to the school system to make sure their children are eating healthy; with that in mind we have come up with a few healthy, fun and delicious snacks to serve to your precious, little angels.  😉

  1. Cut low fat cheese into cubes and put a no-s alt pretzel stick in each cube. Or, use a cookie cutter to cut the cubes into fun shapes.
  2. Make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich using mini waffles or rice cakes, instead of bread.
  3. Take a cupcake liner and fill it with yogurt-covered cereal and dried strawberries. It will be easy for the kids to snack on without making a mess.
  4. Choose a low-fat yogurt and add berries and granola to it and then freeze it to make yogurt pops. A low-salt pretzel stick twist can be used as the stick for the frozen pop.
  5. Try using hummus as a dip and serve it with cut up vegetables or low-salt crackers
