Rih was honored for just being her wonderful self… caring, selfless, talented, stylishly wearing Parsons alumni’s designs and with a drive to help others in need. The benefit was held in NYC at Pier Sixty. However, now it looks like Parsons has Rihanna on tap for another wonderful initiative. Thanks to DOT Haiti and fashion designer Donna Karan we were able to gather a few details regarding Rihanna’s next humanitarian collaboration. DOT reveals, “This is happening this summer! Rihanna is on board with us to create jobs and opportunities for Haitian artisans.”
How fantastic! Everyone deserves jobs and an opportunity to improve their situation. Donna Karan, also at the Parsons 69th Annual Benefit explains further,
“Congratulations Rihanna being honored at my alma mater Parsons School of Design. For all your work and inspiring us all, anything is possible and our collaboration in Haiti with Parsons, DOT Haiti. Looking forward to manifest your inspiration in Haiti.
Therefore, if you thought Rihanna would be taking a break you would be wrong. This summer she will be doing her part to help talents living in Haiti. We look forward to seeing her efforts and are confident she will certainly make it a success.
