This has to be some type of record! In less than five years two musical acts have been invited back in order to spice up the Super Bowl Halftime Show. The NFL’s Super Bowl game is huge in itself but the halftime show that accompanies it has become an entity itself. Let’s face it, the day after the game when everything is said and done people remember and gossip about two things… the team that won and who performed during halftime.
It was formally announced that Coldplay would be the headliner at this year’s halftime show. Nevertheless, that still piqued interest in many minds as to whether any other artists would join the band on stage. This would not be the first occasion or occurrence for that outcome to happen.
Beyonce joined onstage by former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Bruno Mars jams onstage with rock royalty, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Moreover, let us not forget last year Katy Perry was joined by rocker Lenny Kravitz and hip hop artist Missy Elliot during her electric halftime performance. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Coldplay will have some special guests during their 2016 halftime performance as well. Beyonce and Bruno Mars have both been added to this year’s show lineup. These two are fitting choices since Queen Bey collaborated with Coldplay on their last album and fans have been campaigning for Bruno Mars to be apart of the show since the first time he made such an entertaining splash! Be sure to tune into the Super Bowl 50 on February 7th to catch all the action.
